Volunteers are critical to our outreach programs in the community. If you are interested in volunteering, ACAF has a number of available opportunities. Volunteers are needed in schools, weekend and afterschool programs, and throughout the summer. The times of our programs vary as well as the ages. If you are interested in learning more about volunteering or visiting during one of our programs, contact Erin Morrison at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Upcoming Volunteer Opportunities
March 18th, 2017 - Help us host our Youth Tennis Tournament at Middlebury Indoor Tennis! Volunteers will help monitor matches, check-in players, and help with set-up and tear down. The tournament will run from 1 p.m. - 5:30 p.m. Volunteers can help with entire tournament or pick a few hours.
April 8th, 2017 - Middlebury Indoor Tennis hosts Youth Match Play days once a month for youth to play non-competitively with their peers. Youth Match Play provides little instruction but emphasizes the program on developing match play skills such as serving, scoring, and tennis etiquette. Volunteers can assist our instructors in helping monitor matches, jump in to play when needed, and also provide help around improving serves or knowledge around scoring.
April 2017 - Mary Hogan Elementary students will be participating in an introductory tennis program during their physical education classes. The program will take place during the first three weeks in April. ACAF instructors, volunteers, and school staff will be leading these activities. Volunteers will assist ACAF instructors and/or teachers in implementing program. The program will run during normal school hours and will be offered to all students. Most lessons will be outside at the outdoor tennis courts at Middlebury Recreation Park or in the gymnasiums at Mary Hogan Elementary.
A Family Fun Night will be hosted for the participants at Middlebury Indoor Tennis on April 21, 2017 from 6 p.m. - 8 p.m.
