Apply For A Grant

COVER-apply-grant.jpgThe VCF is a family of hundreds of distinct charitable funds, each with its own name and purpose. These funds have been established by individuals, families and organizations as a way of providing charitable support to enhance the quality of life in Vermont.

The vast majority of the VCF’s funds do not accept applications for support, as the grantmaking is either advised by a living donor or is predetermined by a specific fund purpose (such as an annual scholarship award or a designated annual grant to a specific nonprofit organization).

There are, however, a small number of VCF funds to which grantseekers can apply for support. Each of these funds has unique interests, from supporting the arts to focusing on health to funding projects only in a particular geographic area. These funds use a competitive application process to make grant decisions, and are listed below under the "Other Grant Rounds" link.

The VCF Community Fund addresses a broad range of issue areas and seeks to be responsive to the ever-changing needs of Vermont communities. We welcome applications to the five grant rounds of the Community Fund from nonprofits seeking to enhance the quality of life for Vermonters.
