Welcome to the Vermont Community Foundation website.
This fall the Vermont Community Foundation is releasing a report on the contributions, challenges, and opportunities of Vermont's nonprofit sector. The Foundation is working with Common Good Vermont and the Center for Rural Studies at UVM to administer a survey that will help us paint a clearer picture of the complex issues faced by nonprofit leaders working in Vermont today. We want to include your thoughts!

How will you use the survey?
The survey of nonprofit leaders will play a critical role within the nonprofit report. Your responses will help us to explain what Vermont’s nonprofit leaders think about and struggle with on a daily basis. The survey results will be reported in aggregate numbers along with a narrative centered on themes such as giving patterns, demand for services, funding, and sustainability.
Who will read my responses?
The responses from this survey will be stored on a secure server at the University of Vermont’s Center for Rural Studies and will remain confidential – only the staff at the Center for Rural Studies will have access to the information collected from the survey. Foundation staff will only have access to aggregate data, not individual responses.
What information do I need to complete the survey?
You will not need any additional information in front of you in order to complete the survey – no financial information of any kind. Rather, the survey questions focus on your observations, beliefs, and concerns as the leader of a Vermont nonprofit. All you will need to complete the survey is the ID code we sent you and five to ten minutes of your time.
How long will the survey take me?
The survey should not take you any longer than ten minutes to fill out. We believe that the responses to our questions will come easily, since they reflect the work you do on a daily basis.
Visit http://crs.uvm.edu/nonprofitsurvey (with the ID code from your postcard or email) to complete the survey by our August 23rd deadline. If you complete the survey by the deadline, your organization will be eligible to win a $250 VCF grant.
