We shall strive to:

  • Conduct our philanthropic activities throughout the state in the most environmentally conscious manner possible.
  • Purchase and use environmentally friendly and local products, and services, whenever possible.
  • Implement practices and processes that minimize our environmental impact and reduce our carbon footprint.
  • Promote sustainable practices in our daily decision-making processes, regarding building, operations and travel.
  • Raise awareness and provide educational opportunities throughout the VCF community.
  • Stay informed and engaged as new ideas and solutions emerge.
  • Seek out investment opportunities that embrace a commitment to long-term, sustainable strategies.
  • Engage in shareholder activism that promotes social and environmental responsibility.
  • Offer a socially responsive investment pool to our fundholders.

    VBEP Environmental Partner
We are proud to be an Environmental Partner of the Vermont Business Environmental Partnership (VBEP). This is a free, voluntary environmental assistance and business recognition program offered by the Environmental Assistance Office of the Vermont Department of Environmental Conservation and the Vermont Small Business Development Center. The goals of the Partnership are to promote improved environmental and economic performance and to promote public recognition of environmental excellence. A partner must achieve a set of eight environmental standards.
