SUSTAINABLE FUTURE FUND UPDATE
In order to work more closely with the Vermont Community Foundation and to streamline the grant process for nonprofits, the advisors of the Sustainable Future Fund have recently announced that they will no longer be accepting grant applications. Instead, the advisors and the VCF are encouraging grantseekers to apply to the VCF Community Fund Grant Rounds – Basic Human Needs, Successful Communities, or Sustainable Communities. The average grant size for a VCF Community Fund grant is $8,500; the total amount available for grantmaking is larger and the guidelines are broader than those of the Sustainable Future Fund.

For more information on the VCF's Community Fund grant rounds please click here. Regardless of whether or not you received funding for the September 2006 or February 2007 Sustainable Future Fund’s grant round, you are eligible to apply to any of our VCF Community Fund’s grant rounds.

The Sustainable Future Fund will continue to work with the VCF by supporting proposals that best fit their interest areas through the VCF Community Fund grant rounds. The advisors would like to thank you for applying to the Sustainable Future Fund in the past. We appreciate and encourage your great work and we hope we can continue to support your organization’s needs.
