Parents for PreK
The Vermont Parents for PreK website was created by the Vermont Community Preschool Collaborative (VCPC) as a guide for parents who want to know more about how their community can provide publicly supported preschool. VCPC is supported by several philanthropic foundations and individuals and operates as a donor fund through the Vermont Community Foundation.

Mission Investing - A Case Study
The W.K. Kellogg Foundation reviewed existing mission investment programs and discovered that the F.B. Heron Foundation as well as other foundations such as the Vermont Community Foundation have observed that below market-rate mission investments can reduce overall portfolio volatility due to their low correlation with market-rate returns.

Vermont Artists Exhibit in Japan
Four Vermont artists, including VCF grant recipient Janet Van Fleet, are taking part in an International exhibition celebrating the 10th UN Convention on Biodiversity. The exhibit debuts in Nagoya, Japan this coming January and will be part of the Biodiversity Conference in October 2010.

Common Good Vermont's Annual Report
The Foundation supported Common Good Vermont with a strategic grant to launch a people and web-based network that will enable community and nonprofit leaders to access their collective knowledge, build partnerships, solve problems, and achieve long-term social benefit for the people of Vermont.
STEPS Program Hosts Open House
The STEPS (Students Taking an Effective Path to Success) Program at College of St. Joseph's hosted an open house in November. The program is generously supported by the J. Warren and Lois McClure Foundation, a supporting organization of the Vermont Community Foundation.
