The Permanent Fund for Vermont’s Children

The mission of The Permanent Fund for Vermont’s Children, a supporting organization of the Vermont Community Foundation, is to ensure that all Vermont children birth to five have access to high-quality, affordable child care by 2025.

Founded in 2000 by philanthropists Rick Davis and Carl Ferenbach, the Permanent Fund for Vermont’s Children works to improve the quality, accessibility, and affordability of Vermont's early care and learning system, primarily through the support of two statewide initiatives: Let's Grow Kids and Vermont Birth to Five. Using a collaborative philanthropic approach, the Permanent Fund works with other funders, nonprofits, community leaders, and policymakers to advance its mission.
