James Baker to Receive the 2018 Con Hogan Award
The Vermont Community Foundation and the organizing committee for the Con Hogan Award for Creative, Entrepreneurial, Community Leadership are pleased to announce that James Baker will be honored with this year’s award. Baker is the former police chief in Rutland and the current leader of a community revitalization effort in Arlington, where he lives.

Vermont Community Foundation Announces Major Bennington Investment
As part of its renewed focus on place-based investments, the Vermont Community Foundation announces a major equity investment in the Putnam Project development in Bennington. The Foundation has reached terms with the Bennington Redevelopment Group to purchase $500,000 in preferred equity in the Putnam Project, a major revitalization program for downtown Bennington.

Arts Funds at the Vermont Community Foundation Award $158,960 in Grants
The Vermont Arts Endowment Fund and the Concert Artists Fund, two component funds at the Vermont Community Foundation, announced that together they have awarded 35 grants totaling of $158,960 to artists and arts organizations across the state.

Vermont Afterschool Receives $180,000 Community Foundation Grant Aimed at Closing the Opportunity Gap
