Erin Morrison Assumes Expanded Role at Addison Community Athletics Foundation

The Addison Community Athletics Foundation (ACAF), a supporting organization of the Vermont Community Foundation, is pleased to announce that Erin Morrison has been promoted to a full-time role as program and communications manager. She has been in a part-time position since late 2015 and will continue to oversee programs and further ACAF’s mission to provide opportunities for people in the greater Addison County region to learn, play, and stay active through tennis and other healthy activities.

Since increasing outreach efforts three years ago, ACAF has been able to bring tennis to almost 2,000 kids and families through school programs, family tennis events, and youth tournaments that help eliminate barriers to playing. ACAF owns and operates Middlebury Indoor Tennis, where many programs take place, as a nonprofit organization.

Says Erin, “I’m so excited to devote more time to the organization and build on the momentum we have created. There has been a steady increase in program participation and as we continue to serve the community, I look forward to establishing new partnerships and creating more opportunities for both youth and adults in the community.”

Erin holds a Master of Science in Sport Management from Indiana State University and a B.S. in Education from Mississippi University for Women. She previously worked as a senior program coordinator for the Sun Devil Fitness Complex at Arizona State University and assisted in managing the Indiana State University Student Recreation Center.

ACAF Board President David Ignat notes, “Erin’s hard work, enthusiasm, and effective outreach have helped us increase tennis programming for the community, and we happy about what is on the horizon as she moves into this expanded role.”
