$500 - $3,000 grants made to organizations throughout Vermont. This grassroots grantmaking focuses on strengthening community connections that lead to action and impact.

2018 Deadlines: 5:00 p.m. March 15, July 26, and October 16.

Grants of no more than $2,500 each to support the cost of consultants to facilitate discussions related to strategic planning, financial sustainability planning, or facilitating a merger.

Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

$500-$5,000 grants to organizations statewide to help nonprofits dealing with unexpected emergencies.

Deadline: Applications are accepted on a rolling basis. We encourage organizations to apply as soon as the need and a plan to address the need are identified. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.

Some additional Opportunity Gap grants will be by invitation only, including Regional and Local Impact grants (RALI). These grants are targeted in regions where philanthropic investment can make a particularly deep impact by increasing access to opportunity for low-income youth, families, and their communities. And while these grants will be aligned with our opportunity gap strategies, we will be largely deferential to communities in how they define need within that context.

If you’d like to tell us more about how your organization is addressing opportunity gap issues in your area, we invite you to learn more about our letter of introduction process.
